Ideogram has launched 4.5, an image model it pitches as the most accurate tool for changing a picture without disturbing the rest of it. Every claim below comes from Ideogram.

The company’s complaint about current tools is a familiar one. Each round of editing can nudge pixels, shift colors and smear texture, so a picture slowly decays the more you tweak it. Ideogram says 4.5 holds those details steady across a long chain of changes.

To back that up, the page shows a side-by-side video of the same sequence of edits run through 4.5, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2. Ideogram says rival outputs fall apart after a handful of changes while 4.5 stays clean. The test is Ideogram’s, and the page names no independent evaluation.

A second feature targets print and large-format work. Ideogram says users can edit a high-resolution image without shrinking it first, because the model keeps the borders of an edited crop intact for pasting back into the original.

The page gives no release date, pricing or availability details. Anyone who edits the same image many times should run their own repeat-edit test before trusting the comparison.

Reported from Ideogram’s own model page for Ideogram 4.5, which carries no publication date.
