OpenAI has released a Brazilian Portuguese version of its free “AI for Educators” course on OpenAI Academy, the company’s learning platform. The course existed before; this is a translation, published on 15 October, which OpenAI marked as Teachers’ Day.
The course is for teachers at universities as well as primary and secondary schools. It covers preparing communications, building assessments and activities, and planning lessons with AI, while keeping the teacher’s own judgment in charge. Brazilian readers can find it on OpenAI Academy; the post names no separate address.
The newsroom post also reminds readers of Study Mode, an existing ChatGPT feature switched on by choosing Study in the tools menu. OpenAI says teachers, scientists, and pedagogy experts helped develop it. The post offers no results showing it improves learning, and no enrolment or completion numbers for the English course.
A free course in the language of a very large education market is distribution work more than product work.
