Meta appears to be rebranding its internal agent project, previously known as Hatch, under the name Muse, aligning it with the naming Meta already uses for its newer models. On iOS, an app once reserved for internal testing now presents a Muse waitlist, though Meta has not opened signups publicly.

On desktop, Meta’s existing app has picked up a computer-use setting alongside minor interface changes like theme options. Testers have also spotted a model variant called Ava, which appears built for computer control, though it is not accessible yet.

None of this is confirmed by Meta. If accurate, computer use would let the agent operate desktop software across multi-step tasks, echoing the direction of products like Codex and Claude. Earlier reporting described the underlying project supporting web browsing, scheduling, and email, with speculation about pricing near $200 per month, a figure Meta has not confirmed.

Teams evaluating agent platforms should treat Muse as a signal to watch, not a product to plan around yet.

TestingCatalog first reported the Muse branding and the Ava computer-use testing on September 2, 2026.
