xAI announced through its Grok account on X, dated 5 September 2026, that a video-generation agent called Grok Imagine Video 1.5 has launched. It runs on the company’s newest Image 2.0 model, and xAI says the agent is available now across web, iOS and Android platforms.
Grok’s post credits the agent with better output quality, stronger narrative sense and steadier continuity when linking several generated shots into one sequence. Those descriptions come from xAI about its own product, not from an outside test or a published benchmark. The post also carries a short generated video, which was not reviewed for this brief.
Holding a character, setting and motion steady from one generated clip to the next has been the persistent weak spot of short-form video tools. A model that genuinely fixes shot-to-shot continuity would be worth noticing. Nothing in xAI’s post demonstrates that yet.
Anyone testing AI video generators for social or ad work should treat the continuity claim as a hypothesis until outside users publish comparisons.
