Anthropic will shut down Conway, an internal always-on agent, on July 24 at 5 p.m. Pacific, and is telling testers to export their data before then. TestingCatalog reported Monday that a notice inside the interface instructs users to ask Conway to “export my data” ahead of the cutoff.
Conway launched this spring as a standalone container running Claude Code, a browser, and webhook-triggered notifications for a small group of employees and outside testers. Its closure could mean two different things. Anthropic may be folding remote-agent work into Cowork, the desktop tool where Claude already acts on a user’s own machine.
Or the shutdown could just be internal testing ending ahead of a wider Max-subscriber preview, a rollout pattern Anthropic has used before. Either reading points to the same near-term choice for current testers: export data before Friday, since nothing confirms it will survive the cutover.
